Johannes Gutenberg begins his blog by establishing with his
audience the birth place of his inventive self, and comments on the early
trials.
Success of the Printing Press, in the First Person
The
time has come and I have decided to uproot my life in Mainz, to move forward in
life and work on something bigger than myself. I have found settlement in
Strasburg; the old city is epicenter to an ancient building once occupied by
monks, long before my time. I was fortunate to come across a room that required
only a tad cleaning, I now inhabit as my work shop. I eagerly hope to advance
swiftly towards a printing break through.
